Everything that is spoken between an executive and an executive coach is considered confidential. If the organization is covering the cost of coaching, they are entitled to periodic updates from the coach, such as if goals are being met. The only way that more information can be shared is with consent from the executive.

The idea is to help leaders reach their full potential, to be an effective leader for their teams and, in turn, to achieve the company’s goals and objectives. Coaching is about getting access to support such as to have that unbiased person to share confidences with, to see yourself through a clear mirror, to practice an approach, etc.
